Texas tax credits for R&D, job creation and investment

Texas provides tax credits against the annual franchise tax fee (paid by all businesses except sole proprietorships) for the following:

• Research and Development
• Job creation - 10 qualifying jobs paying at least 110% of the county average wage in specific industries (agriculture, administrative, manufacturing, distribution, data processing, warehousing, R&D)
• Investment - $500,000 minimum. Must provide health insurance and pay wages at least 110% of the county average.
